Advocacy and campaigns

Arthritis Australia develops policy solutions informed by lived experience and scientific evidence, and we advocate to the federal government, industry and the broader community for better awareness, policy and funding.

Some of the ways we advocate include:

Election campaigns and campaigns for major priorities

Parliamentary Friends of Arthritis events at federal parliament

parliament

Advocating directly to parliamentarians

Engaging with government consultations

Raising public awareness through the media

Anyone can get involved in advocacy. Sharing your arthritis story with your local federal Member of Parliament (MP) is a powerful way to advocate for arthritis awareness and support. Your MP wants to hear from constituents about the issues that matter to them. Engaging in conversations about arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions can influence their priorities and actions.

You can sign up to our Arthritis Champions program for opportunities to get involved in our advocacy and awareness raising.
