Help fund the research that could change lives
Research holds the key to more effective treatments for arthritis and may one day lead to a cure. Yet arthritis and musculoskeletal research still receive only a fraction of the government funding that goes to other major chronic conditions.
By donating to research, you’re helping Australia’s leading scientists and clinicians develop new treatments, improve care, and better understand the conditions that affect millions of Australians.

Frequently asked questions
Below are answers to the questions we hear most often.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please get in touch, we’re always happy to help.
Are all donations tax-deductible?
Will I receive a receipt?
Where does my donation go?
Donations to Arthritis Australia support:
- research into the treatment, management and prevention of arthritis
- our advocacy work as the national peak body
- trusted consumer information and support resources our community relies on (including our “My Arthritis” condition-specific online patient support programs).
- And other programs to support Australians living with arthritis and MSK.
Can I give monthly instead of all at once?
Absolutely. Monthly giving is one of the most powerful forms of support – It gives us the confidence to fund longer, more ambitious projects and to plan our work over multi-year horizons. To set up a monthly gift, select the “Give monthly” toggle in the donation form. You can change or cancel your monthly gift at any time.
What payment methods do you accept?
Can I give in memory of someone?
Yes. An “In Memory” option is available in the donation form. Please tick the “dedicate this donation” box on the donation form and type the name of the person in the “Honouree name” field. This will also then give you an option after donating to send an online card or email to the next-of-kin to let them know you donated on their loved one’s behalf. If you’d like a personalised acknowledgement letter sent to a family member, please include their details in the notes field, or contact us at fundraising@arthritisaustralia.org.au and we’ll arrange this with care.
Can I give in honour of someone?
What about leaving a gift in my Will?
A bequest is an extraordinarily generous way to support future generations of Australians living with arthritis. Visit out Gift in Will page to learn more.
Does my workplace offer matching giving or workplace giving?
Can I fundraise on Arthritis Australia's behalf?
Yes, and thank you. Whether it’s a marathon, a morning tea, a milestone birthday, or something more creative, we’d be delighted to support your fundraising efforts through our easy to set up online fundraising platform. Visit our community fundraising page to learn more. To do a fundraiser that’s a little bit different, reach out to our team to discuss the process. Whenever fundraising on behalf of Arthritis Australia, you must seek our permission to do so. This page will take you through those steps.
Are you a registered charity?
Is your donation form secure?
Can I cancel or change my recurring donation?
You can cancel or change your monthly gift at any time by contacting us at fundraising@arthritisaustralia.org.au or calling on (02) 9518 4441 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm AEST). There are no penalties and no questions asked, though we’d love to hear if there’s anything we could have done differently.
Can I donate from outside Australia?
What if my donation didn't go through?
If you encountered a payment error or didn’t receive a confirmation email, please contact us at fundraising@arthritisaustralia.org.au or call on (02) 9518 4441 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm AEST) and we’ll help sort it out.
How will you use my information?
We use your details only to process your donation, send your tax receipt, and (with your permission) keep you updated on our work. We never sell or rent supporter information to third parties. Our full privacy policy is available on our website.
Will I be added to a mailing list?
Only if you choose to be. There’s a clear opt-in checkbox on the donation form. If you tick it, we’ll send you occasional updates about the impact of your support. You can unsubscribe at any time through our preference centre
