Examining the Complexities of the Networks Influencing the Uptake of Biosimilar Medications in the Australian Healthcare System.

The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences, University of Queensland (UQ) are conducting a study as follows:

    • The objective of this study is to clearly identify and categorise the enablers and barriers affecting uptake of biosimilar medicines, and to compare said enablers and barriers specific to Australia against several comparable and top performing countries internationally.
    • The intention of this research is to disseminate through publications in select journals and presentation and appropriate domestic and/or international conferences. A summary of research findings will be sent to each interview participants by email, once findings are completed by the research team.
    • Results may also inform consultations with select stakeholder meetings, such as with industry, clinician, pharmacy, or government stakeholders.

Participants should be aged 18 and over who currently work in the patient advocacy space in Australia to participate in a survey on use and opinions on biologic and biosimilar medicines.
