Alliance for Healthy Ageing – Consumer Research Partner Opportunity

The University of Queensland Centre for Health System Reform and Integration are seeking dedicated Western Queensland representatives to join a Consumer Advisory Committee for our research project “Alliance for Healthy Ageing”.

This research aims to improve early identification and management of risk of frailty in community-dwelling older adults who live in Western Queensland.

You will play a vital part in ensuring that our research accurately reflects the experiences, opinions and priorities of patients in the community. Your role will include sharing your insights and experiences to help shape the direction of the research project and ensuring that the voices of patients are heard and considered throughout the research process.

Who is it for?
This opportunity would suit people who are interested in research to support healthy ageing. We are looking for non-indigenous adults aged 75 and over, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander adults aged 55 and over, living across Western Queensland to join the Consumer Advisory Committee.

Time and location
Online meetings and discussions will be held for one hour approximately every 12 weeks to collaborate with researchers and/or healthcare professionals.
Remuneration and support
Online training will be provided by the research team and renumeration for representatives’ time will be provide in the form of gift vouchers.
