Genesis Research Services is running a short phase 2 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study for acute gout flare.
The study aims to enrol 380 participants. Randomised participants will contact the site upon onset of an acute gout flare, once eligibility is confirmed participants will be given 7 days worth of study drug. They have two blood tests, one 24 hours after first dose and another on day 7, with a follow up safety phone call 7 days later.
Objective: To evaluate the effect of ABP-745 on reducing pain and swelling in subjects with an acute gout flare.
Participant Profile: Adults aged between 18-70 years who have experienced 2 or more gout flares within the past 12 months.
