Prototyping a digital co-designed opioid tapering decision aid to empower patients in safe deprescribing of opioid analgesics

The University of Sydney is conducting a research study to understand what Australian consumers with lived experience taking opioid analgesics (pain medicines) think about the priorities regarding a content and format for a development of a new digital opioid tapering decision aid tool. Participants input will help create a digital tool to ensure it is easy to use and it meets their needs.

We are looking for participants who are:

 ·        Aged 18 years or older living in Australia with chronic non-cancer pain, taking long-term opioid analgesics (pain medicines) either currently, or over the last 12-months.

 ·        Willing to take part and participate in a focus group or individual interview. Focus groups will take place via videoconference (Zoom) according to your preferences. The interview will take approximately 45-60 minutes and will be audio-recorded.

Participants will be offered a $50 electronic Gift Card in appreciation of their time.
